Information We Collect

- Facial Images: Captured via your camera. All facial analysis securely uses the Google Gemini API via encrypted connections. Images are never stored on our servers or used to train any AI models.
- Analysis Results: Scores and insights generated from your facial analysis, stored locally on your device.
- Account Information: Your name and email address if you sign in using Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple.
- Subscription Status: Your purchase and subscription status, managed via RevenueCat (anonymous identifier only — no payment details).
- Device Information: Basic device type and OS version for app functionality and crash reporting.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the facial analysis features of the App
- To authenticate your account via Google or Apple Sign-In
- To manage your subscription and provide access to premium features
- To deliver personalized coaching recommendations
- To store your progress and scan history locally on your device
Facial Image Data
We use cloud-based processing for facial analysis:
- Cloud Processing: For deep aesthetics, skin health, and soft tissue evaluation, your image is securely transmitted to the Google Gemini API via encrypted connections.
Strict No-Retention Policy: Images sent to the Gemini API are processed in real-time and immediately discarded. We do not store, retain, or share your facial images on any internal servers, nor does Google use these images to train their foundational models.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
- Google Gemini API — Cloud-based advanced skin and aesthetic analysis
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, cloud data sync, and crash analytics
- Google Sign-In — Optional social sign-in
- Sign in with Apple — Optional social sign-in on iOS
- RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management
Each of these services operates under their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies as well.
Data Storage & Retention
- Scan history and results are stored locally on your device
- Account data (name, email) is stored in Firebase for authentication purposes
- We do not sell your data to any third party
- Data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time within the App
Sign in with Apple
When you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide your name and email address (or an anonymized relay email) to us for account creation. We store only what is necessary to identify your account. We do not use Apple-provided information for marketing purposes.
Children's Privacy
Facera AI is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Delete your account and all associated data (available in the App under Profile → Delete Account)
- Opt out of data collection by uninstalling the App
- Request a copy of your data by contacting us
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. All data transmitted between the App and our servers or third-party APIs is securely encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy in the App or on this page. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects when this policy was last revised.
